Digital Radio Systems Project of the State Airports Authority (DHMI)

DHMİ Communication Project ≥ DHMİ’s Digital Radio Systems Project is an important milestone that best reflects Novatel’s expertise in digital communication technologies. In the first phase of the project, a digital communication infrastructure was established at strategically important airports in various regions of Turkey, thus achieving a major transformation in operational processes. In this phase, covering Ankara, Diyarbakır, Erzincan, Erzurum, Samsun, Şırnak and Trabzon airports, innovative solutions were offered to both accelerate daily operations and ensure uninterrupted communication in critical situations.

In this process, to increase the safety and efficiency of airport operations 500 PH660 and PM790 model DMR radios delivered. These radios, Designed to meet the needs of field personnel with high-quality voice communication, durability and ease of use, it can be used between different units such as air traffic control, security teams and ground services. An instant and reliable communication network was created. With the establishment of the new infrastructure, delays in operational processes were prevented, daily workflows were optimized and rapid intervention was provided in critical situations.

After this successful first phase, we are moving on to a new phase to further expand the scope of the project. In this phase, called the expansion phase, Ankara, Balıkesir, Elazığ, Kastamonu, Malatya, Muş, Sivas and Uşak airports will also be included in the digital communication network. This expansion will be an important step in accelerating the digital transformation in Turkey's airport infrastructure.

At this stage, the communication capability of airports 1,014 PH690 and PM790 model radios will be further strengthened with the delivery. With their advanced technological features, these radios to be delivered will not only increase the efficiency of daily operations, but will also provide a more secure communication infrastructure in emergency situations. In addition, with the integration of call manager and monitoring systems at each airport, it will be possible to follow operational processes in more detail. This new infrastructure will increase administrative efficiency and play a key role in preventing operational disruptions.

As Novatel, the role we have undertaken in this project is an indication of the values we offer to the transportation and logistics sector. We are proud to contribute to both the sector and our country with the knowledge and experience we have gained in digital communication systems. When the expansion phase is completed, a new page will have been opened in DHMI's digital transformation journey and significant standardization will have been achieved in Turkey's airport infrastructure.
