MTS4 is a high-performance base station with improved power efficiency and lower operating costs.
- Supports a wide range of RFDS configurations with up to 3 receivers per carrier and duplex or non-duplex receiver/transmit antennas
- Up to 8 carriers can be combined with a single Rx/Tx antenna.
- Full redundancy option with field controller and base radio supports MTS4 hybrid couplers, manual and auto-tuned cavity couplers.
- Thanks to excellent power efficiency, the required battery capacity and heat dissipation are low, and with two powerful battery chargers, power supply costs are kept to an absolute minimum
- The 10 Watt configuration is extremely power efficient. Equipped with low-noise fans, the MTS4 is fully operational up to 60°C at any power level up to 25 Watts after coupling or 40 Watts without conduction coupling
- Supports both cost-effective X.21 and E1 infrastructure connections

The MTS4L TETRA/LTE Base Station provides a flexible way to add LTE to complete a TETRA system.
Motorola offers a highly flexible migration solution for TETRA operators by enabling the addition of an eNodeB into the TETRA Base Station cabinet. MTS4L can be deployed as just a TETRA base station, but can also include services such as shared backhaul and battery backup for the eNodeB. These services can be installed at startup or upgraded later as needed by customers. Most importantly, the MTS4L footprint does not change when the eNodeB is installed and therefore the upgrade is very simple and fast with minimal disruption to the TETRA service.
